Have you ever wondered if what you are reading online is true? Exposing the Invisible – The Kit is a Tactical Tech project for anybody questioning online information, trying to find scarce information or filter out too much information.
This is because we can’t always rely on others to determine the facts. Sometimes you need to find out answers for yourself and to conduct your own inquiries. Journalists, civil society organisations and others who investigate for a living are often unable to keep up with the speed at which misinformation and corruption currently spread and affect everyone.
In addition, at a time when we are all saturated by data and confronted by misinformation, it’s important on personal and community levels to be able to identify sources of problems and counter misleading narratives that are not based on facts and evidence. Click here to find out more!
Tactical Tech is a Berlin-based not-for-profit organisation working at the intersection of technology, human rights and civil liberties. It provides training and conducts research that contribute to the wider socio-political debate around digital security, privacy and the ethics of data. The Kit was developed by a group of researchers, activists, journalists, developers and artists.
This work falls under the grant-making of Oak’s International Human Rights Programme, which supports organisations involved in creative efforts to protect fundamental human rights, such as documentation, evidence collection, campaigns, strategic litigation and outreach.
